Nissan 350Z Showcar- The story behind the T-RACE 350z V2- Many of you received the sad news about the lost of Theresa. And many of you know and saw the new livery of her Z. A "short story" about the 350z V2 and some big shootouts to the people that helped so hard to finish this awesome build. It all started when Theresa was diagnosed with incurable cancer. A shock for everyone. First thing that came up in my mind was her Z. The wel known blue widebody 350z had some issues since a couple of months. Their where some problems with the engine and the car was a bit damaged (wrap). One day after the terrible news a good friend of us (Jeroen Van Horsen from DBM Engineering ) gave me a call and asked me what he can do. He is a very skilled mechanic and after a short phone call the plan was set. We decided to rebuild the 350z! Go big or go home, so besides a new engine the car and Theresa deserved a new livery as well. Our friend Nick Den Braber (Autoservice N. den Braber) put the Z on a trailer and the first step was made. He brought the Z to Jeroen his shop. Within 2 hours the old engine was out, I went to Belgium to my friend Sven Claes to pick up a good second hand engine. Within 72hour we replaced the engine and the car was running. Until now.... theresa didn't know anything about the whole make over. Our goal was that she can enjoy her car for at least once in this hard time. After getting the car back in the Showoff Imports workshop it was time for unwrapping. Already made a plan with my friend Jurgen Smits from Eastwood Car design and Joffrey Van Der Jagt from Prowrap Professional Carwrapping. I picked the base Color, 3m 1080-gp99 it was! Bram Hammer made the manga design based on a current photo that I made of Theresa. Joffrey finished and printed the full Color design and a date was set! After unwrapping I bring the car to Jürgen and together with Jürgen we start wrapping the Z. Unfortunately I can only help for 6 hours so the car wasn't finished yet. After getting the sad news about theresa that she passed away we were all in shock.... she will never see the Z again. One day before she died I showed her all the pics I made. She starts crying and was in shock. I told her who was helping and how the design looks like. She liked it so much and during her last days she told it everyone! She was proud! Proud on her Z , proud on all the people that helped her and us to finish the car. After the sad news I didn't had any time left to complete the car. I was busy fixing the funeral, but our friends didn't leave us alone. Jürgen finished the wrap and worked on it almost day and night. He saw the other helpers more then his own daughter and wife. You make me proud Jürgen! Really men, you are a real hero! Michael van der Lee from General Wheels did also some magic. He finished the rear spoiler and made some handmade maddddd Louvres. After that Ramon van der Knaap and Pierre van Riel from R&K customs painted the brackets, diffuser and splitter in DTM semi gloss. And thanks to my colleagues and friends from Showoff Imports we finished the car in time! Oh.... and don't forget the tyre stickers installed by Rody Sterkman! Also big thanks to Jeffrey van den Oosten from CheapStickers to make the stickers / windowbanner. The "fuckcancer" sticker on the spoiler is already under rated. One day before the funeral Jürgen installed the full Color print together with Joffrey. Our good friends and photographers Roeland Bastian (Streetwerk) and Klaus Klk (Belgium Stance Automotive Photography) made some stunning photos. Last Friday night I picked up the car at showoff and did a small shoot with Klaus. Those photos are already legendary!
